Opening of ������Ƶ�ٷ� Family HUB at Highland Middle School!

The ������Ƶ�ٷ� School District welcomes families from across the district to the new ������Ƶ�ٷ� Family Hub located at Highland Middle School. Beginning August 22, families are invited to visit the Hub to meet with trained volunteers who can connect them to resources for clothing assistance, rent assistance, and ������Ƶ�ٷ� school support. The ������Ƶ�ٷ� Family Hub located at Highland Middle School (15027 NE Bel-Red Road) is a joint partnership between the ������Ƶ�ٷ� School District and ������Ƶ�ٷ� LIfeSpring.

Public-Private Community Focused Partnership

The ������Ƶ�ٷ� Family Hub will serve as a one stop center for ������Ƶ�ٷ� School District families to receive the supports they need. The ������Ƶ�ٷ� Family Hub seeks to develop respectful, trusting partnerships between families and staff knowing that family, school, and community partnerships are integral to student outcomes.

Funding and staff support for the ������Ƶ�ٷ� Family Hub is provided by local non-profit ������Ƶ�ٷ� LifeSpring. Since 1911, ������Ƶ�ٷ� LifeSpring has been supporting ������Ƶ�ٷ�’s children and their families with ������Ƶ�ٷ�s that provide food, clothing, summer school and credit recovery scholarships, and emergency rent assistance.

In 2020, Amazon established a partnership with ������Ƶ�ٷ� LifeSpring through its innovative Right Now Needs Fund. Amazon’s support helps further ������Ƶ�ٷ� LifeSpring’s ability to meet the immediate needs of ������Ƶ�ٷ� families.

������Ƶ�ٷ� Family HUB Resources for Families��

Initially, volunteers at the Hub will focus on ensuring that families have access to three essential resources for a successful start to the year: 1) Online student verification and completing the application for Free/Reduced-Price Meals; 2) Back-to-school clothing support for students and 3) Navigating resources for rent assistance.

The ������Ƶ�ٷ� Family Hub resource center is open all summer long for ������Ƶ�ٷ� students and families!

Visit the Hub at Highland Middle School (15027 Bel-Red Rd, ������Ƶ�ٷ�, WA 98007) to receive assistance with resources like food and rent support, educational workshops, and more! The Hub is open to all ������Ƶ�ٷ� School District students and families.
